Mischief of the Day

Today evening when Baba walked into the room with hot steaming rice for his dinner , I, without thinking for a moment , put my hand in the plate. Within seconds , tears rolled down on my cheeks. Baba was shocked and immediately washed my hands with cold water. I was still crying... but soon he realized that my hand was not burnt. He wrapped my hands in a wet cloth and went to gallery to show me Metro and Bhoo ... bhoo..

When we returned to the room after 5 min , i was smiling as usual.

This incident was really a ' Heart in the Mouth' for my father.

It has been many days when i travelled in Metro. Nowadays, I only watch it going from a distance. Yesterday, Baba decided to take me to a Metro ride.. He dressed me up and also made a small pony on my head. Now Aadi was ready to go ....

We reached at Metro station of Sec 13. After going through the security check we reached the platform. Within few minutes Metro arrived and we boarded the train.

And then Aadi started chukk.. chukk...

There were a few people in the coach and all of them said Hello and gave smile to me ...

Papa gave me 'O (orange) and yum yum and went to the kitchen. After some time when he returned back he did not find Aadi there.. He yelled 'Aadi !' and a voice came from the hut 'What?'.. Ooh Aadi was in his hut!

Mischief of the Day

Though i give water to plants in presence of Mummy but now i can also do it alone. My parents were surprised day before yesterday when they saw me picking up a bucket and a mug from bathroom and going to the terrace . I started watering plants with my small hands.. that too very cautiously !!

'Kanya Bhoj ' was organised on Asthami..I disguised myself as a young girl (kanya) Aditi and reached there to have halwa - puri. Bindi was put on my forehead and holy band was tied on my wrist.

Then i also had yum - yum after returning from 'bhoj'.

To climb at chair & sofa is my habit but not in the manner in which you do. Oh sorry ! you do not climb. Do you know how do i climb ? I hold the handle of the chair ; keep my foot on the side support of the chair and then climb..But i could no reach either at the top of the chair nor i could go below it. I got stuck in between .. So i used my 'Brahmastra'. After using it i landed safely .

Yesterday ,while arranging my toys Mummy took out this playhouse and i made a small and cute Hut from this. But my attention was more on this box rather than on this hut.

And when i got a chance i tried to elope with this box.

Although this box is double to my size but it hardly matters as i am stronger than this.

See this ! isn't it bigger than me ? Just give a look on the wall clock. You are right it's 10 O'Clock but not a.m it's 10 pm Ha..Ha..Ha.

Mummy has gone out and will return on Sunday or Monday.. I stay happy all the day and do my routine activities of eating , drinking , playing and sleeping like other normal days. So am i not missing Mummy? I surely do.. While sleeping at night my eyes search for Mummy. In the morning also when i get up i , i look at the door with curiosity thinking if my Mummy is there ... I stay quite cool in Mummy's absence but others are surprised at my behaviour ! They frequently ask Papa ,' Is Aadi staying alright ?" Yes ofcourse..

Today i have nothing much but one song for Mummy and some of my photos with her .. from my birth till date .. enjoy these !!

First day with Papa.. He was happy at evening also and was writing this blog. This reflects that i did not tease my caretaker..slept quite alright last night and was also sincere in the morning.. I went to Aunty timely and also did lot of masti with Papa in the evening.

What if Mummy is not here? We played music and danced together..watch this 1 min. video..

(The experience to stay alone with Aadi is very good. Talking with him and taking care of his small needs..Initially i had doubts and also fear that how will i take care of him alone? My New Caretaker..

Generally Mummy takes care of me and my needs. This way she is my caretaker.When she goes to office i stay with Shashi Aunty so she is also my caretaker..But today I've got a new caretaker for few days. Mummy is out of city for her office work and she could not take me along with her.Actually i would have gone but i had to stay in hotel while she was at her work which was not possible .So she started the search of a new caretaker and soon found him ! I have been spending time with him. Finally , it was decided that he will be my new caretaker. But there was a problem ! ..He had no experience..well experience comes by doing..isn't it?

Now the training of new caretaker started. After 2-3 days he gained confidence. Did you get who is my CT? See he is practicing to get me bathed !

You are right..Papa is my new caretaker and he is busy nowadays in his new task so you are not getting new posts to read.. Well i've great plan to do fun with Papa in these 3-4 days and if i gave him some time you'll also get my updates !!

I'm very fond of fruits. Apple,Banana , Papaya,Chiku and my favorite orange..I like oranges so much that i can eat it anytime ! Mummy make me eat my meal with the help of oranges. My first Holi ..

Yesterday was my first Holi..A colorful post for a colourful festival..Little bit talk and so much of colour. After having my breakfast , i was ready by 11 a.m. Till now Papa had decorated the plate with Gulal (colours). Do you know ? Charmi Aunty also came with Papa , from Jodhpur, to play Holi with me ..
Papa started first and put gulal on my face. All the family members greeted each other and put colour on one another's face. After this we all went out to play Holi at Aunty's place.

When we went there i was surprised to see that everyone was waiting for me. We played Holi and ate lot of sweets .

It was difficult to recognize all as there faces were coloured with Gulal .

We all are full with colors and gulaal..

Yesterday CVS Uncle came with Aunty to see me. He is Senior Advisor in Mummy's office . He was planning from long time to visit me ; but was unable to spare time for this. Incidentally , he visited some place nearby my house , this week, so mummy coordinated with aunty and called them at our home.

Uncle and Aunty came in afternoon when i had my lunch and my quota for afternoon nap was also complete so it became easy for me to spend time with them. They bought a gift for me wrapped in a very attractive glittering paper. The gift packing attracted me but i could not unwrap it. Finally , Mummy helped me to open it and there was a beautiful toy in it. All-in-one. There were 3 favourite things of mine ... 1 stick to eat .. my favourite color thread and 1 pad to play.. isn't it all-in-one?

I've to say thank you to Uncle and Aunty so i jumped in their lap and started talking to them. Uncle was speaking in Telugu . To understand him , his expression full of love and affection were enough. He was saying ' Bahut achha bachha ...

on Aunty's recommendation i got 'Gazar ka Halwa' to eat ...

Today was a good day .. In the evening , Snehal Uncle also came to see us. He played with me for a long time. He was surprised to see me playing, eating and sleeping without troubling Mummy.. Now you only make him understand how i do all this so sincerely !!

I applied for the passport with lot of zeal and excitement ... went to studio to take a sweet photo of mine ... gave thumb impression from my tiny thumb... I thought that in case i go abroad then i would definitely require a passport. If Sameer Uncle called me to Canada then how will i go? I applied for the passport in November and was waiting for it. It came also few days back but i was not happy with it . Do you know why? Papa's and my name was misprinted in the passport. Now tell me who will allow me to got to abroad with a misspelled word in my passport?

See this is the work which people do in passport office ! They can't even do a task properly !

Well , Papa will return it back to get it corrected. Let's see when does it come back again !!

Om Jai Jagdish Hare ....

Every tuesday afternoon 'Keertan' (religious prayer ) is organised at our society.I accompany Aunty in this so now everybody in the society has started recognizing me. Interestingly , people do not recognize Mummy so when they meet her they say surprisingly , 'Oh ! you are Aadi's mother ?'

Well , talking about keertan i reached somewhere else ...At this point , i want to share something with you . I don't know why Papa always wait for photos and videos to share my activities with you.

The thing is that i've started moving ahead rapidly. Yes i've learned crawling. And if i say in Marwari it is 'Godaliya'. It has been only few days when i've started crawling.

Have you ever seen a frog hopping? I hop in the same manner. Yesterday , Mummy said that Aadi is going out of control . Now you only tell me when i've started crawling won't i'll hop also? I know she says like this only to monitor me otherwise she also feels happy when she see me jumping here and there. She calls Papa and say .'Ranjan , see what your son is doing ?

You missed me from my point again.. I was saying that i went to 'keertan' this tuesday and enjoyed listening the sound of Dholak and Manjeere . I went to everybody's lap and specially to those who had 'Prasad' in their hands. Going to 'keertan' and not having Prasad ? Not done ! I always eat my prasad and if someone gives you more , why to deny?

My Valentine Day ...

I also celebrated my Valentine Day on 14 Feb in the way you celebrated it. But in size it was small ... On 14 evening, i went to Pari Didi's home ,with Papa and Mummy, in Gurgaon. I took a rose for her. The way was long so i fell asleep. Before i get up and come in my form , Papa , on my behalf, gave the rose to Didi. After some time, i woke up and came in my jolly mood... I danced (How ? will tell u later) and tried my hands on Didi's piano.

We went to 'Galario' for dinner. I took my meal alongwith me and ate it. To grab the plate is my birthright ... so i did it ...

On dining table either i can sit or Ma - Papa can take their dinner ... So we decided to take dinner one by one.. Papa started to take his dinner first and i went outside with Mummy to take fun ride ...

This way i spent my first Valentine Day ...

Is this is called sour?

I often get carrot to eat...Mummy peels and cut it in small pieces for me and i use it to rub my teeths and gums ..I enjoy playing with it but nothing good for taste and stomach..

Yesterday , while i was lying in my 'Parambulator'* and enjoying eating carrot, Mummy gave me a piece of tomato..It was altogether a new experience for me. I could make a good grip on it and eat it easily. As the taste of tomato was new for me so was my expressions!

Tomato lasted long with me but after a while it slipped from my hand.. But nothing to worry! Why? Because i still had carrot in my other hand. I again started eating carrot.

Yesterday evening i went with Papa to take medicine for Mummy. After parking our vehicle we walked towards the medical shop. We bought the medicine and went to another shop to take some grocery items for home. Till here , everything was fine. Papa was holding me in his arms and i was giving a curious glance to the things around me..

Suddenly , i saw ballons..I was attracted to those colorful ballons.. I drew Papa's attention to those ballons in my voice saying 'Hu..Hu..Hu..'. He understood my desire and went to the ballonwala to buy few ballons for me. I got excited as i was holding them for the first time.. I was desperately waiting to go home and play with them ...

I played a lot with the ballons but Papa told me not to take them in my mouth..

No Aadi ! Do not eat ballon !

Here it comes my Redulla !!

After the idea of walker failed , Ratan Uncle said that i could learn to walk without any walker as they also learned it in the same manner. In there times there used to be a 'Redulla' in place of walker and kids learned walking by using 'Redulla' which was made by a village carpenter.. It was made up of wood and there were no side effects on the legs of children. Uncle said that Redulla might be available in our Jodhpur . So when Papa heard of Redulla he recalled his childhood 'Gadola' !!

He decided to arrange Gadola for me but after a while when this idea did not succeed ; he rang up Grandpa in Jodhpur at 4 pm and asked him to arrange the same for me. In the evening when Papa again ranged up at around 6 pm Dadi informed that my Gadola had come and Dada was colouring it.. So fast !!

Do you know everybody cares for me and are always already to fulfil my wishes...

Well Gadola was ready for me at Jodhpur but the question was how and when it will reach to me? At present , there is nobody who is going to or coming from Jodhpur..

Days passed by in thinking of how to to bring my Gadola ? At last Papa called Prakash Uncle and asked if any of his acquaintances were coming from jodhpur as he was in Railways and many of his friends used to come from Jodhpur.. On Saturday evening , he boarded my Gadola in Mandore Express. Now it was Papa's duty.. He got up at 5.30 am and went to old delhi Railway Station. When he returned at 8.30 pm he was carrying my Gadola ! Seeing a new thing i started to examine it.. And here started my training.This is the first day of my training..

Let me check air and other things as i have to go a long distance..

When Mummy is relaxed and enjoy her spare time she allows me to do mischief. Today she gave me suji to eat and yesterday she gave me poha. She served me poha and made me sit quietly and eat poha myself..Acc to her it will develop my interest and i will learn eating myself. But actually she is unaware ( she knows but allows me deliberately) that i love playing with poha rather than eating it !!

What exactly i was doing with poha is the riddle of today ! and is also interesting like Taau's riddle.. I'm giving you options to solve it. See this picture and answer it --

Remember Measles...but Vit A?

I'm 9 months old now and when you complete 9 months you are given vaccine for measles. This thing everybody knows but very few people know that alongwith measles vaccine of Vit A should also be given to children. It is easily available in Govt hospitals but Pvt doctors often miss it.. Do you know Rishab Bhaiya also did not get first dose of Vit A? Why i'm saying first dose because it is given in total 5 doses after every 6 months interval. First dose in 9 month then in 15 month, 21 month ,27 month and 33 month. This is an ideal time but one can start in any month but should maintain 6 months gap.. Do you know that Vit A is essential for growth and development of human body? It helps our body to fight against infections and diseases.

Vaccine for Measles

I also went to Govt Health Center, near our home, with Mummy and Papa to get vaccinated for Measles and Vit A. We reached there at exactly 9 am and was first to get token slip. Thereafter we went to vaccination room where Nurse Didi was already present. She asked my age, inspected my vaccination card and said that vaccine would be given on right arm.. But Papa thought it would be better to talk to Dr Sridhar Uncle regarding this matter. Uncle said that this vaccine is given subcutaneously so can be given anywhere.. they suggested right arm so that we can remember easily where it was given first time..

I was wearing inner , T-Shirt and sweater so it was not easy to give vaccine on arms , therefore, it was decided to give vaccine on my thighs.. Before vaccine i was given an oral dose of 1/2tsp of Vit A.. At the time of injection i was ok but when i was given Vit A , i cried and protested..

With this my 1st year of vaccination completed.. Now next vaccination was to be given after 6 months which was of MMR (Measles, Mumps & Rubella) with Vit A.

Bite..Bite.. Atlast i did it ...

Vivek Uncle , Tauji asked me to give a bite to Mummy and Papa but he never told me where to bite? But soon our loving Udan Tashtri Uncle gave me the address and said ,'when u sit in the lap of Mummy and Papa , quietly bite their ear and give a naughty smile.' This much hint was enough for me..i just needed a chance which i got at Dr Ghatak's Clinic! I was sitting in Papa's lap and he was busy talking with Dr Uncle. Without any delay i bit on the address given by Udan Tashtri Uncle ...

Once you get a good taste you are surely tempted for the next time !! So yesterday evening i again got a chance.. Papa was sitting on sofa taking me on his lap. I was once again tempted by his ear and without loosing the chance i attacked on his ear ! I enjoyed this bite like anything.. What Papa could do?

And today is my monthly B'Day. I've completed 9 months..see how close i m in completing 1 year !!

Will walk without Walker .......

Two days ago Bhatia Uncle said with love ," Paltu Beta now learn to stand ! ". Uncle , how do you know so much about me when you are so far? I started the practice to stand on my feet ever since i returned from jodhpur. Now i can stand with the help of sofa , bed and my playing stand ! Yesterday , Mummy was talking to Papa for my walker. She said that still my walker did not come so they have to purchase it soon.. Papa nodded giving his acceptance and promised to buy it for me by this saturday or sunday ...

24 January -- Training from Mummy ... to stand on my own feet...

Twist in the story :..

Before my walker could come a twist came in the story.. It happend when when we went to visit Dr Ghatak for my cough and cold check up. In his normal talk Dr told my parents that he never suggests walker to children as it puts extra pressure on their legs and sometimes may result in bended legs. And if a child is using walker then it must not be more than 20-25 min a day. Papa told Dr Uncle that he was planning to buy a walker for me. Uncle said that there is no need for walker as i can learn walking without walker also. On his advice the idea to purchase walker was dropped. Now i would learn to walk but without walker !!

There is fun in standing !!

One more thing .. i do not crawl and go frontside but i can easily crawl backside . Dr Uncle says that there are children who do not crawl but directly learn to walk. So there is nothing to worry !!

On the same day Udan Tashtri Uncle asked," Pls see in Kundli when babua's hair will grow dense?". Kundli was not inspected but we consulted Dr Uncle and asked if some oil will help into this? He said that my skin was oily and using oil may cause the problem of dandruff which has it's own side effects. He pointed that there was no scientific relation between oil and growth of hair. Hence , my hair will automatically grow dense.

Well it's good if my hair are not dense as my first haircut will take place only when i'll complete 3 years. In our tradition this ceremony is called 'Jhadola'. So it will be difficult for me to maintain y dense hair for such along time !!

Oh ! in all this talk i forgot to tell you about my cough n cold. Dr Uncle said that this is seasonal and as it is my first winter so it is obvious to get cold, I've to take cough syrup for fewdays and nothing more..

'Polio Ravivar' has come again !!

I informed you about Polio Ravivar of last two months .Vivek Uncle liked the way i did it .. So i thought why not to inform you all this time also but 1 day before so that you can include it in your Sunday schedule. The coming Polio Ravivar is on 1st Feb ( just before my monthly B'Day). Polio vaccine is given to children upto and below 5 years ( like to 4 years old Santu bhaiya and 1 year old Mann bhaiya).

Just 2 drops to prevent them from Polio. 'Do Buund Zindagi Ki'

Several polio booths are set up at Govt Hospitals , Health Centers etc.. In big cities such booths are set up at prime locations. It must ne near your home also ! just check it ! You have to go this Sunday to polio booth between 9 am to 5 pm and get your child this polio vaccine . Even if you are travelling , arrangements are made at Bus stands and Railway stations so that you do not miss 'Polio Ravivar'. I have explained you ,why this vaccine is necessary and is to be taken regularly ,in my previous post.

So do not wait any more .. Lets go to Polio Booth this Sunday !!

You know very well how much i like hanging things !! Be it threads or hanging belts of a bag. Whenever i come across such things i eagerly try to grab them..B'coz of this habit i nibbled the tail of this cat .. Ever seen such a mouse? Moreover i have torned the tassels of our cushion covers. Oh ! if i start counting , i well end up with a huge number. However, such things need to be hidden from me.

But sometimes i get confused over choosing things.. When i have 2 or more things i am unable to decide which one shall i take? For eg my Jacket . It has two hanging objects and both lures be to a great extent. I'm unable to decide which one to take ; This or That ? But i end up holding both of them in my hands sometimes into my mouth. Hey ! this is obviously my right !

Country's 60th and mine first ...

It was republic Day yesterday . India's 60th and mine first ...

I got up in time at 7 am and as usual was ready after taking my bath. Mummy dressed me in kurta pyjama and Papa was also ready. We went downstairs but what was this? Today instead of taking me to Aunty's home Papa took me to the ground. Some people were already gathered there which gave a sign that something was special !

After sometime Flag Hoist ceremony took place which was followed by national anthem 'Jan Gan Mann' and dstribution of ladoos. I ate my ladoo there itself.

It was holiday for both Papa and Mummy so we enjoyed a lot. Just have a look on some of these moments...

'De Taali '

I have started learning new things like giving kissy to Mummy , masti with Papa.. Do you know what i have learnt recently ? It's Clapping !

Papa put his hands before me and say 'De Taali' and then i put all my energy to give 'Taali' to papa. He fills with joy and we keep on doing this for several minutes.

You know that i spend my day at Shashi Aunty's place. My parents drop me to aunty's place at 8.30 every morning. I enjoy there eating different things, playing , going out in sunny days and sometimes go with Aunty to attend 'Kirtan'. So like this i spend my whole day waiting for my parents to come and pick me to home.

As the day passes , i desperately wait for 6 pm when papa comes to pick me up. When he comes, i run towards him to take me in his arms. We go home and wait for Mummy to come... As soon as she comes , she pampers me with lot of kisses..In return i narrate her all the happenings of the day ( in my language). Seeing this Papa feels jealous but then he also enjoys our conversation...

Uncle's Marriage - 1

I stayed away from you for a long time . What to do ? After all it was my uncle's wedding so i was in Jodhpur. Now when i am back , i'll narrate you the entire event.

We did lots of arrangement for marriage.. New clothes were bought for me .. (i'll show you my photos in new clothes soon ..) And we packed our all luggage.. But what was this ! Perhaps Papa was in mood to pack me also ...

But could i be packed like this ?

This time also we traveled to Jodhpur by train. We were not alone in train as Arpit and Kshitij Uncle were already there and they decided between themselves as who will play with me first. They also brought toys for me. We did lot of masti in train. I also played with Mami and Dadi

In Morning , train arrived at station at right time. Grandpa was there to receive us.

Now I do not fear from This !

I usually play with a small ball and also won one match with Papa . You must have seen ... Udantashtri Uncle caught me playing football test during the match. Do you know ? I had a big ball .. very big .. I used to fear from it . Whenever someone brought that ball to me i started crying . Papa tried to get this fear out of me ..but no .. all in vain...

But Now i 'm grown up and do not fear from that ball. I can easily catch and play with it.

No more fear now ...

my first flight-flash back

I was born in Jodhpur...but my dad was living in Delhi...So we had to go to Delhi... He was unable to come to jodhpur to pick us(me and mom) . He send us air tickets. Mine was booked...in name of'Aaditya Ranjan'...(people at the airport left me writing infant on my boarding pass)...I along with my mom and grandparents came to airport on sunday,6th.....Mom was unable to carry me...so an uncle took me to the plane...It was a flight of Air India(we also call it Indian Airlines)....IC - 472....we took off at 5:40 in evening ...20 min late from our schedule time...I enjoyed a lot in my first flight...All were talking to me...Air Hostess was too good to me...I also cried there...but...it's ok...

The journey was grt...but then don't know where was the flight late...dad was waiting for us...At 7:30 we came out of the flight...Dad was there. This time also one uncle took me out...We went out to parking...Uncle dropped me there...to my car....Meanwhile dad came to know that he has missed his wallet at ramesh uncle's house...He borrowed the money from Mom to pay at the parking... and then we went to home.....

Welcome 2009 !!

Yesterday 2008 ended and today is the starting of New Year 2009. I also did not lay behind in celebrating New Year .. Do you know that there was arrangement of New Year party in our society ? People were enjoying eating variety of food & dancing around bonfire . This all was nothing but a great wonder for me!

I saw people singing and dancing .. At last i also started dancing with Mummy .

It was getting colder and i was feeling drowsy ; so i came home little early and went to sleep . i welcomed 2009 while sleeping ! But no regrets ! as many such occasions will come in future..

In the evening mummy and papa were discussing that who will be with me and will play with me. The decision was that papa will be with me from 8 to 8.30 and after that mummy will feed me. Mummy went to kitchen and me and papa in to ground. Didn't get ground..?? We made our bed a ground and played hand ball with the football. I could not arrange live telecast but don't get angry I have this recording.
